Terms and Conditions for Drift Vault
Welcome to Drift Vault. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our online platform and the self-storage rental services we provide. By accessing or using our website, selecting a storage unit, making a reservation, or otherwise interacting with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our site and services, you signify your agreement to these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
2. Services Provided
Drift Vault provides secure personal storage unit rentals, including climate-controlled options, vehicle storage, and sales of moving and packing supplies. Our online platform allows you to view available storage unit sizes, pricing, select units, and manage your account. All services are subject to unit availability and facility rules.
3. Storage Unit Rentals
- Reservation: Reserving a storage unit through our site does not guarantee rental until a formal rental agreement is signed in person at the facility. Prices displayed online are subject to change until a rental agreement is executed.
- Rental Agreement: All storage unit rentals are subject to a separate written rental agreement (the "Lease Agreement") signed at the Drift Vault facility. The Lease Agreement will contain specific terms regarding payment, occupancy, access, prohibited items, insurance requirements, and default remedies. In the event of a conflict between these online Terms and the Lease Agreement, the Lease Agreement shall prevail.
- Payment: Rental fees are due as stipulated in the Lease Agreement. Failure to pay rent and other charges when due may result in late fees, denial of access to your unit, and ultimately, the auction or disposal of your stored property in accordance with applicable state law.
- Access and Security: Our facilities feature access control systems and 24/7 surveillance. Access is granted only to authorized renters and is subject to facility operating hours and security protocols outlined in the Lease Agreement. You are responsible for securing your unit with a lock.
4. Online Account Management
You may create an online account to manage your reservations, view billing statements, and make payments. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your password, and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Prohibited Items
The storage of certain items is strictly prohibited. These include, but are not limited to, hazardous materials, flammable substances, explosives, perishable goods, live animals, illegal drugs or substances, stolen property, and any other items deemed unsafe or illegal by local, state, or federal law. A complete list of prohibited items will be detailed in your Lease Agreement.
6. Limitation of Liability
Drift Vault is not liable for loss or damage to your stored property from any cause whatsoever, including but not limited to fire, theft, vandalism, water damage, or acts of nature, unless directly caused by our gross negligence. We strongly recommend that you obtain appropriate insurance coverage for your stored items. Our liability for any claim arising out of or related to your use of our services or this site shall in no event exceed the amount of rent paid by you for the unit in the month during which the loss or damage occurred.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Drift Vault or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Drift Vault, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of our site and services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions and any disputes arising out of or related to them or your use of our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
